Our History
From Anchorage to Menomonee Falls, our story is one of our favorites to tell.

While living in Anchorage, Alaska in the 1970s, Frank Susler joined his wife and son (Pat and Jim) in the faith by recognizing and following Jesus as Lord and Savior.   After graduation from bible college and leading a successful home group, the Lord impassioned Frank to found a church in his home city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  Thus, the Suslers along with a small group of families were sent out to plant North Milwaukee Christian Center in April of 1981, ultimately landing at our first permanent home: a red brick chapel on Burleigh Street.

In the 20 years that followed, in partnership with his son Jim, ordained as a pastor in 1992, Frank and the leadership team founded a school, built dynamic youth programs, and the church flourished in ministry.  Our story continues with a name change, to Grace Christian Fellowship, and a move to our next location on Capitol Drive (2001), which was our home for another 20 years.  During this time, Jim took primary leadership as head pastor in 2015, our sister congregation, Beth Messiah was founded in 2006, and Frank transitioned into apostolic ministry having served in a variety of countries including Mexico, the Philippines and Israel.

Our most recent chapter brings us to the wonderful community of Menomonee Falls, and with it, a name that connects our past to our present, bridging our story from Anchorage to Menomonee Falls: Anchor Falls Church.  In this home, we are planting roots for the generations to come, and we look forward to the next 40 years of growing with this community.
